Recording @ L’Echonova, Vannes (Brittany), France
We headed to France, and for beautiful Brittany, for a short residency at the venue L'Echonova to work with local band Lyse and other musicians playing celtic instruments.

LYSE
are an up-coming four-peice rock band from Brittany making a lot of noise for themselves with their dynamic and extremely loud shows. The three brothers and their drummer have already clocked up over 350 gigs and two albums in just a few short years with their full-on rock style, but what they performed for us was very different indeed, awesome stuff and will surprise their fans!

Dorian Sims
: lead vocals / Pierre-Antoine Sims: guitar / Charles-Alexandre Sims: bass / Ronald Doucet: drums      www.myspace.com/lyseonline
NIOU BARDOPHONES & FRIENDS: The Keravec brothers are movers and shakers in Britanny’s traditional music scene and have several music projects on the go, including Nioubardophones which fuses both traditional and jazz music. They also told us of a project they're working on with African artists too, seems these guys simply don’t stop making music! They came to the recordings session at L’Echonova with a whole bunch of talented local musician friends, playing celtic harp (beautiful and eerie), flute (just mesmerising), Biniou (which means bagpipe in the Breton language) and accordion (so very french!).

Erwan Keravec
: bagpipe / Guénolé Keravec : bombard / Ivonig Le Mestre : biniou koz / Mathieu Sérot : Transverse flute / Magali Le Sciellour : accordion / Marie Wambergue : Celtic harp     www.myspace.com/nioubardophones /   www.myspace.com/mathieusrot

Massive thanks to Pierre Pauly and the whole Echonova team.
